(Batesville, IN) – INcompass Healthcare – formerly known as Community Mental Health Center – celebrated its new name with a sign unveiling at its facility on George Street in Batesville Wednesday.

“I’ve been here for almost four years now, and it’s been surprising to me as I went around to the different communities we serve and talked to different folks, and they would say, ‘I didn’t know you had that service’ or ‘I didn’t know you did that,'” said President and CEO Greg Duncan. “We’re not just a behavioral health organization, and I think Community Mental Health Center pigeonholed us a little bit.”

INcompass’ services include primary care, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric in-patient services, transitional housing, and early childhood services.

“This is a chance to rebrand and get the word out on everything we do,” Duncan added.

The agency is opening a Crisis Care Center in Lawrenceburg that will provide immediate intervention for those in crisis.

People can come to the center and have a nursing and crisis assessment completed and meet with peer support specialists and therapists.

They will then be connected with ongoing services based on their needs.

The Crisis Care Center gives people the support they need in a calming and welcoming environment.

Beginning May 1, the center will be open to all ages Monday through Friday, with weekends coming soon.

INcompass officials say the goal for law enforcement is to allow them to drop off someone needing crisis care and be back on the road patrolling within 10 minutes.
