BROOKVILLE – Local women are invited to participate in the 6th annual Celebrate Women’s Day of Health from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 18.
The free event is presented by the Laurel Public Library in conjunction with Fayette Regional Health System.
It’s a chance for women of all ages to participate in an entertaining and educational event highlighting the health and wellness opportunities the community has to offer.
Fayette Regional and numerous other vendors will be on hand to speak to women one-on-one, answer questions and hand out health & wellness information. Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings.
In addition to the free health screenings, women will be pampered with hand massages, fruit smoothies, paraffin hand dips and more!
A free light lunch will be provided, and the keynote speaker is Christy Pflum, NP at Fayette Regional HealthPlex in Brookville beginning at noon.
She will offer a discussion on the topic of “Women’s Preventative Health.” Christy’s focus at Fayette Regional HealthPlex is on preventive care and wellness for the entire family. Christy grew up in the Whitewater Valley, and is now a resident of Oldenburg. She received her nurses training at Ball State University, Muncie, IN.
All who attend will receive free promotional gifts from vendors, and can register to win any of the door prizes that will be given away at the end of the keynote speaker program.
