Ten local youths participated in the 2022 Tom Swain Showmanship Competition in the Livestock Pavillion at the Decatur County 4-H Fair Tuesday evening.
This year’s Grand Champion is Evan Graves.
The Reserve Champion is Hope Barker.
Also participating were Lilly Asher, Jude Beaver, Maddie Brewsaugh, Mason Morris, Allison Nobbe, Lizzy Nobbe, Wade Schutte, and Madalyn Shireman.
Five livestock categories are shown at the competition: swine, beef, dairy, goat, and sheep.
The event is named in memory of Rush County 4-H member and supporter Tom Swain, who died in an automobile accident in 1973.
