Stanley Fuchs

Stanley Fuchs, 92 years old, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020. Stanley was the fifth oldest of seven children, was born in his family home in 1928 in Dover and lived there his entire life. He was a farmer of corn and beef cattle and milked cows when he was younger. His children, Karen & Steve, would help him cut and bail the hay. Being a farmer his whole life, Stan was in a few tractor accidents, but thankfully was always able to walk away. He loved working in his vegetable garden and enjoyed sharing his harvest with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was cutting the grass and did so until he was 91 years old. He also loved word search puzzles. You could often find Stanley sitting in his favorite chair by the window completing a word puzzle on his clipboard. It was through this window that he loved to watch hummingbirds and a squirrel that he liked to watch also. Stanley was a fan of several TV shows including Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, Walker Texas Ranger, and The Three Stooges, which is what he was watching when he passed away. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Stanley and Steve would head to The Forge in Dover for a beer or two and an occasional burger. He is a former member of the North Dearborn Conservation Club.

Stanley will be greatly missed by his children Karen (Matt) Price of Dover and Steven (Carrie) Fuchs of Dover; his grandchildren Tyler Rigby, step grandchildren Shaun (Baily), Brian & Kevin Price; great grandchildren Braylen Rigby and step great grandchildren Jackson & Riley Price; and sisters-in-law Janet Fuchs and Eva Fuchs. Stanley is preceded in death by his wife Armetha, parents Helen & John Fuchs, and siblings Emma (Walter) Huber, Mary (Earl) Slade, Frank (Jane) Fuchs, Jim Fuchs, Paul Fuchs, and Raymond Fuchs.
