In Week Seven high school football action last night, Batesville rolled over Greensburg 65-16…East Central hammered Connersville 62-6…Providence topped Milan 35-21…Franklin County bounced South Dearborn 41-7…It was North Decatur all over North Daviess 54-6…Switzerland County knocked off South Decatur 26-6…and Lawrenceburg defeated Rushville 38-6.
Terry Francona will be formally introduced by the Reds on Monday as the team’s new manager. Francona and the team agreed on a three-year deal, with a club option for 2028.
Batesville is in sixth place in the team competition heading into the second round of the IHSAA girls golf state finals in Carmel. Bulldog junior Ava South and East Central sophomore Rowan Pies are among a group of individual golfers tied for fourth. Batesville senior Addie Weiler is in a group tied for 38th.
