Southeastern Indiana man could win $1 million at midnight

Seymour, IN — For the second year in a row, POWERBALL® and Dick Clark Productions are teaming up with participating lotteries across the U.S. to give players a chance to become the “POWERBALL First Millionaire of the Year.” This year, Indiana residents have a contender to cheer for, as Hoosier Lottery player Steven Everage, 46, of Seymour, is one-of-five finalists.

As a finalist, Everage received “The Party@Home New Year’s Eve Party Package” which included a $12,500 cash prize, deluxe surf and turf dinner from Omaha Steaks, 70″ LED TV including a home theater sound system and so much more,  providing a New Year’s Eve party from the safety of his home.

Hoosiers will have the chance to watch Everage in his bid to win $1 million during ABC’s live broadcast of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021.” Country artist Jessie James Decker is returning as POWERBALL® correspondent for the second year and will provide live updates throughout the evening, checking in with all five finalists celebrating at their homes across the country, before revealing the “POWERBALL First Millionaire of the Year” just after midnight on January 1, 2021.

Everage, who works in manufacturing of auto parts, is a loyal Hoosier Lottery player. The five finalists in the national promotion were selected on November 5 by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) and Dick Clark Productions from the pool of semi-finalists submitted by participating lotteries across the country. The five finalists are from Indiana, Washington D.C., Florida, Pennsylvania, and Nebraska.

The Hoosier Lottery awarded 30 semi-finalists $500 and a chance to become one of the five finalists across participating lotteries. To participate, Hoosier Lottery players entered their non-winning POWERBALL® tickets into the myLOTTERY 2nd Chance promotion between August 23 through September 14, resulting in over 33,000 Hoosier Lottery entries into the promotion.
