The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory starting at 4 am on January 1 through 10 am that morning for all of central and southeastern Indiana and central and southwestern Ohio, including the Greater Cincinnati area. Freezing rain will begin around 4 am and should end by 1 pm on Friday as temperatures warm throughout the day. Total ice accumulation of up to one-tenth of an inch is expected.
Ice accumulation on roadways will create slick conditions and may lead to hazardous travel. Slippery sidewalks, roads, and bridges are possible. Please slow down and use extra caution if you plan on traveling or walking outside on Friday. Also, prepare for the possibility of power outages.
