Pastor Creighton Paul Leptak Jr.

Pastor Creighton Paul Leptak Jr., 52, of Oldenburg, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, a Minister for St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads.

He was born July 16, 1969, in Lawrenceburg, IN, son of Creighton Paul “Butch” Leptak Sr. and Barbara Lee “Bobbie” (Raisor) Leptak.

Creighton had a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Kentucky University, Masters of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He was the Dean of the Southeastern Conference for the Indiana/Kentucky Synod, a member of the Batesville Kiwanis, a member of the Batesville area Ministerial Association and on the Coalition for a drug free Batesville. He attended Manchester Schools and South Dearborn High School. He was in the Swing Choir in High School, he was an excellent singer who recently participated in a production at Osgood. He loved his church at St. Paul Lutheran Crossroads, and it was often said he “brought the church alive”. Creighton loved to cook and attended Culinary School. He loved his coffee, his cat “Thomas”, but mostly his family and his church family.

Creighton is survived by his parents, Butch and Bobbie Leptak; close friend, Jennifer Owen of Dallas, TX; sisters, Melissa (Danny) Lewis of Lawrenceburg, IN, Rebecca “Becky” (Dave) Busha of Bright, IN; nieces and nephews, J.D. Busha, Elizabeth Busha, Dana Lewis, Peyton Busha, Aaron Lewis, Xander Busha; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads at 664 State Road 229 S, Batesville, Indiana on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, with a service following at 4:00 pm.
