FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN — Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at a home on the 21,000 block of Beacon Road in Salt Creek Township Friday morning and seized more than 90 dogs.

The raid concluded a weeks-long investigation into alleged animal cruelty.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says since charges have not been filed, their identities are not being released.

Once the investigation is finished, deputies will forward their findings to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office for review and consideration if formal charges will be filed against the couple.

Anyone wishing to adopt one or more of the dogs is asked to call the Franklin County Humane Society at (765) 647-1444.

In addition to the Franklin County Humane Society, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Franklin County Small Animal Control Officer, the Franklin County Health Department, the Indiana Board of Animal Health, the Ohio County Animal Shelter, SPCA of Cincinnati, and several unidentified rescue shelters.
