Most of area abnormally dry on latest U.S. Drought Monitor map

(Statewide) – The Hoosier State’s drought conditions have improved considerably in recent weeks.

The U.S. Drought Monitor map indicates Indiana is no longer experiencing a severe drought.

However, most of Southeastern Indiana is still abnormally dry, and the eastern part of Dearborn County is experiencing a moderate drought.

Rain and slightly cooler temperatures over the past few weeks have helped conditions across the area and state.
