(Brookville, IN) – Andrew Meyer has been tapped by the Franklin County School Board to serve as Laurel Elementary’s principal.
He replaces Shannon New, who was promoted earlier this month to the school corporation’s assistant superintendent position.
Meyer is a graduate of Ross High School in Butler County, Ohio, and the University of Cincinnati. Meyer comes to Franklin County from the Great Oaks Career Campus in the Cincinnati suburb of Deer Park, where he as an engineering teacher.
Other administrators approved by the school board this month include Trent Liggett as principal at Franklin County Middle School. He succeeds Chris Bundy, who resigned in June. Liggett comes from Fayette County Schools, where he most recently served as assistant principal at Connersville High School.
Jacob Hedrick was named Franklin County High School assistant principal. He had previously served as assistant principal at both the middle school and high school.
