Medical emergency leads to crash, sends one to the hospital

RIPLEY COUNTY, IN — Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies and Versailles Fire and Rescue responded to a one-vehicle crash with possible injuries at US 421 and County Road 800 South around 8:45 Monday night.

Investigators say Courtney Clemons suffered a medical emergency and drove her Jeep off the road.

The Jeep hit a telephone pole and came to rest in the front yard of a home at 8105 US 421.

Clemons was taken to Kings Daughters Hospital for treatment of her medical emergency.

Ripley County Deputy John Halcomb was the lead investigator.
