Loren Joseph Noes, age 87, Virginia (formerly of Harrison)

Loren Joseph Noes, 87, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025 in the comfort of his home in Hot Springs, Virginia.

Born on January 22, 1937, he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen Smith Noes. Loren grew up in New Haven, Ohio and raised his family in Harrison, Ohio before becoming a snowbird with his wife, Rosa, in St. Cloud, Florida.

A Christian man, Loren was raised in and held membership with Miamitown Church of Christ in Ohio. It was there in church that he met and, ultimately, married his wife, Rosa Beyer. While residing in Florida, he continued his walk with the Lord, attending Canoe Creek Christian Church.

Loren had retired from the insurance industry, where he had worked as a systems analyst. However, he possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and pursued several additional ventures throughout his life. As a younger man, he and his family raised dairy goats and operated a successful breeding operation, selling kid goats throughout the United States. On his “homestead” were also chickens and meat rabbits, and the family produced honey to be sold at local festivals. In his golden years, he and his wife, opened a small jewelry company called Spare Time Beadery. The pair traveled to festivals throughout Florida selling their wares, Loren always happy as “head assembler” under his wife’s direction.

In his free time, he enjoyed deep sea fishing off the coast of Florida, watching baseball games, and cheering on his favorite football teams: the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife of 67 years, Rosa (Beyer) Noes, predeceased family members include seven siblings and two grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his three children, Janice Ruff and husband, Dennis of Hot Springs, Lora Noes and fiancé, Mike of St. Cloud, FL, and Joseph Noes and wife, Diane of Lebanon, OH; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lavelle “Tudy” Jenkins of Keego Harbor, MI and Bennie Shafer of Bright, IN; as well as sister-in-law, Hazel Beyer of Cleves, OH.

Loren will be laid to rest in Miamitown Cemetery at a later date.
