Kathryn D. Lemen, 85, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2018 at Life’s Journey Hospice in-patient facility in Avon, IN. Kathy was born on March 18, 1933 in Derby, VA to the late James and Martha Bray, and was the youngest of six children. She attended Versailles High School, graduating in 1952. She married Richard Lemen in 1956 and they shared their life in Batesville, IN. He preceded her in death in March, 2006.
Kathryn worked in the life insurance industry as both an administrative assistant and sales person. She enjoyed playing bridge and golfing with family and friends. She was an active member of the Batesville United Methodist Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and follower of Christ. She loved her family and spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her three daughters, Vicki Thoman, Karen (John) Mollaun, Mary Jane (Sam) Harris, and one son, Roger. She had six grandchildren—Kelli Thoman; Duke, Lauren (Calderon) and Max Mollaun; and Holly and Zeb Harris—and two great grandchildren, Lilly Nelson and Brylee Duncan.
Visitation will be Friday, July 13 from 10am – 1pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral Service to follow at 2pm at the Batesville United Methodist Church.
