Crop duster killed in Shelby County copter crash

Shelby County, In. — A crop-dusting helicopter crashed Friday night in Shelby County killing the pilot Friday night.

Reports indicate the aircraft went down around 6:25 p.m. in northeastern Shelby County near the Rush county line. The pilot, has not named and was the only occupant.

Federal Aviation Administration officials are investigating and say they have little evidence as to why the Bell 47 helicopter crashed.

The helicopter pilot has been identified as Kerry D. Lee, 52, of Mooresville.
