Judge adds more prison time in major drug case

Brookville, In. — A woman convicted in a multi-state methamphetamine dealing ring has been ordered to serve an additional 16-years in prison by Franklin County Circuit Court judge Steven Cox.

Lola Sells, 52, had previously entered a guilty plea for conspiracy to deal methamphetamine and was found guilty by a Franklin County jury in August of this year for methamphetamine dealing case from 2014.

The case in 2014 centers around the overdose death of Felicia Craig, 25, she was found dead at the New Point Truck Stop. The investigation determined she overdosed on approximately seven grams of methamphetamine.

Police say she was transporting the methamphetamine to her boyfriend from Sells when she pulled over on I-74. Police believe Craig swallowed all seven grams following the traffic stop. Her body was found by an interstate traveler later that morning.

The death investigation led to a major probe conducted by the Indiana State Police and the Rushville Police Department.

Tony Peters, Lincoln Johnson, Krista Richardson and Scott Vawter have also been implicated in the operation that transported methamphetamine from Macon, Georgia to Franklin County.
