Indianapolis, IN — Indiana prison inmates will soon be able to see people from the outside for the first time in nearly a year. The Department of Corrections (DOC) says it is going to resume in-person visits, which were suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The return to visitations will be rolled out in phases, with lawyers, then prison volunteers, and then family members being allowed back in. However, DOC officials say they’re not yet sure when people will be allowed to go and see their loved ones behind bars.
