(Versailles, IN) – The Holdsworth Entertainment Pavilion on the Versailles Courthouse Square will be dedicated tonight (Saturday).

The program includes performances by Gary and Scott Holdsworth, Ellen Mulford, Darrell Day, the South Ripley High School Jazz Ensemble, Young Confederates Show Choir Alumni, and Eric Sheets and the Downstairs Dads.

The pavilion is named in honor of longtime South Ripley Schools music educators and community arts advocates Gary Holdsworth and his late wife Patsy, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 74.

Tonight’s event runs from 6-9 pm.

The Holdsworth Music Pavilion became a reality when Main Street Versailles took part in the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s CreatINg Spaces grant program, in which more than $50,000 was raised locally through a Patronicity campaign, and received a matching grant from the state.

It now occupies a pocket park on the Square where two blighted properties once stood.
