H.S. softball recaps from Wednesday, April 27

The following are high school softball recaps from Wednesday, April 27.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Jac-Cen-Del defeated Southwestern Hanover 10-7.

The Eagles Regan Richter had four hits with a double.  Olivia Strunk doubled once, singled twice and knocked in two runs while Maria Meyer had a base hit, a two bagger and three ribbies.

The Rebels Ashley Fulton and Morgan Mahoney both had two hits.  Fulton tripled and Mahoney collected two RBI.

Connersville held Franklin County scoreless, 10-0.

The Spartans Shelby Wolski pitched a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts and no walks.  She also smacked a home run and drove in two.  Teammate Sara Ruble had three hits with a home run and three RBI while Baylie Spurlock singled and doubled with two ribbies.

Wildcat hits were limited to Maci Lake, Kensee Ferman and KK Ferman who also was the pitcher of record.

South Decatur managed just four hits as Knightstown beat the Cougars 11-0.

Kassidy Haley, Moly Eden, Madison Mikulec and Lakota Henry had the hits for the Westport ladies.

South Dearborn defeated South Ripley 9-3.  The Raider defense had a handful of errors which led to several SD unearned runs.

The Knights Kyra Labazzo pitched six innings for the win, allowing just three hits while striking out 12.  Offensively, Lakota Vincent, Kori Cornett, Emma Seaver, Cory Lee and Malyia Schnebelt all had multiple hits.

For South Ripley, Alex Heidt singled and doubled with an RBI. Emily Campbell drove in a run as did Mady Tompkins who was also the pitcher of record.

East Central won 16-2 over Lawrenceburg.

The Trojans Kerigan Schuck had two doubles, a single and two RBI.  Karlie Davis drove in five runs on a pair of two baggers.  Jordyn Mauer batted in three on a couple of hits.  The Annas, Coffman and Black, both plated two runs on a hit and Lexi Hatmaker collected a single, double and one RBI.  Hatmaker also pitched a complete game for the win with eight strikeouts.

Of the Tigers four hits, Brooklyn Couch homered and had the teams only RBI.
