GDC Chamber receives Century Award

(Statehouse) – The Greensburg/Decatur County (GDC) Chamber of Commerce was presented the Century Award by Gov. Eric Holcomb and Indiana Economic Development Corporation CEO David Rosenberg during a ceremony last week at the Statehouse.

The Century Award recognizes Indiana businesses that have operated for 100 consecutive years and have shown a commitment to community service.

Executive Director Dawn Lowe accepted the award on behalf of the Chamber.

She was accompanied at the ceremony by past GDC Chamber President and current Hospital Foundation of Decatur County Executive Director Mandy Lohrum; Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home Executive Director and current GDC Chamber President Leslie Thackery, and Decatur County Commissioner Mark Koors.

Half Century Award winners were also recognized at the ceremony.
