Emilie Nelle Pank passed away November 27, 2024, at the age of 45. Emilie was the daughter of Paul M. Pank and the Late Jennie (Scott) Pank. Emilie attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Greensburg Community Schools, graduating from Greensburg Community High School in 1999. Emilie spent her working career at Developmental Services Industries (DSI). Emilie enjoyed bowling with Special Olympics and acting in Tree County Players summer musicals. Most recently she was involved with “Front and Center Players” a group showcasing the talents of mentally and physically challenged citizens of Decatur County.
In addition to her father, Emilie is survived by her stepmother RoJeanna Pank, her sister Meredith (James) Patchett, stepbrothers Dr. Michael Bradley (Angie) Shuck and James Daniel (Hanui Kim) Shuck. Nephews Evan Patchett and Mason Patchett and nieces Leah Patchett and Madalyn Shuck. She was preceded in death by her mother Jennie, her sisters Jennie Elisabeth, Olivia Jennie, and Anna Louise Pank.
Family and friends will gather to pray the rosary on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 3:30 PM at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A visitation will follow the rosary from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM also at the funeral home. An additional hour of visitation will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greensburg from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
Memorial contributions for Emilie can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Special Olympics of Decatur County, Tree County Players, or The Arc of Decatur County.
