(Southeastern IN) – It is Election Day 2024.
Along with the President, Governor, Indiana Attorney General, U.S. Senate, Ninth Congressional District and Indiana House races in districts 55, 68 and 73, there are several contested races on local ballots.
In Ripley County, four candidates are running for three at-large seats on county council and four people are vying for an at-large seat on the Jac-Cen-Del School Board.
Decatur County has four candidates on the ballot for three at-large county council seats, and there are contested races for the Decatur County Community School Board in districts B, C and D.
Voters in Franklin County have several contested races on the ballot. They include County Commissioner District 3; County Council At-Large, and County Surveyor. In addition, two candidates are running for the District 1 Franklin County School Board seat, and four people are vying for the District 2 seat on the school board.
The ballot in Dearborn County features five candidates for three county council at-large seats, and contested school board races in South Dearborn District 2 and Lawrenceburg District 1.
Vote centers are available in all four area counties.
If you weren’t among the record number of people who took advantage of early voting, the polls are open until 6:00 tonight.
