Constance “Connie” Dean Spears, 75

Constance “Connie” Dean Spears, 75, of Greensburg passed away on June 17, 2023. She was born on March 30, 1948 in Batesville, Indiana the daughter of Carl H. and Leona C. Doyle Walterman. Constance was a 1967 graduate of New Point High School. She was employed at Gulf Plastics, Todd’s Apparel, a caregiver for many years and Gecom Corp. Connie was known for her ornery personality and her ability to make others laugh. She enjoyed reading a good novel, playing cards, dancing and having a good time. Her real passion was cooking. She opened her home to anyone who needed a warm meal and a place to lay their head. Connie had a heart for people and for animals.
Survivors include: Daughter, Julie (Jeremy) Owens; Sons, Jeffrey (Michelle) Dean and Jarrod Dean; Sisters, Carleen (Bob) Weiler, Beverly (Phil) Hitchcock, Melody (Michael) Stillwagner; and Brother, Greg Walterman; Grandchildren, Cheyenne Dean, Austin Dean, Brooke Harrelson, Dustin Harrelson, Levi Muckerheide, Wyatt Muckerheide, Andrew Owens, Conner Owens, Molie Dean and Tyler Dean; Great Grandchildren, Lincoln Dean and Olivia Nerlinger; several Nieces and Nephews; and her fury faithful dog “Rags”. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Rick Walterman; Grandchildren, Taylor Dean and Dylan Dean; Nephews, Joshua Hitchcock and Justin “Big J” Snyder.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on June 21, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm. Dennis Spears will be officiating.
