Mr. Terry Lee Peelman, age 67, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on July 13, 1958 in Fresno, California. He was the loving son of the late Robert L. “Bob” and Jinnie R. (Neal) Peelman. He was raised in California before his family moved to Vevay, Indiana in 1967. Terry graduated in 1976 from Switzerland County High School in Vevay, Indiana. Terry was united in marriage on September 28, 1979 to Martina Marie “Tina” Dickerson at the Vevay Church of Christ in Vevay, Indiana. This happy union of 46 years was blessed with five children, Josh, Dustin, Ryan, Heather, and Lacey. He was formerly employed at Randall’s Textron in Vevay, Indiana, where he worked for 19 years. He also served as a police officer for the Vevay Police Department for a few years and in security for Grand Victoria Casino & Resort in Rising Sun, Indiana, for several years. Terry was later employed at Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana, as a security officer and in maintenance for several years, before retiring in 2017. He was a faithful member of the Vevay Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for several years. His belief was not only something he spoke about, but something he lived out daily through kindness, strength, and compassion for others. He was known for his incredible ability to fix and build just about anything. Whether helping a friend, family member, or neighbor, Terry was always willing to lend a helping hand. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. He loved watching his grandchildren in sporting events and took great joy in being present for those special moments. He also held a special place in his heart for his faithful granddog, Oliver, who brought him much happiness, especially by giving him many treats. Terry enjoyed cooking and baking for his family, and he found great joy in capturing life’s most meaningful moments through photos and videos, creating memories his family will treasure forever. To his family, Terry was a constant source of love and reassurance. He often reminded them, “I love you to the moon and back,” words that will forever echo in their hearts. Just as often, he shared the phrase “God is good all the time, all the time God is good,” which reflected the foundation of his faith. These words were not just words to him; they were a truth he carried through every season of his life. Terry will be remembered for his strong and steadfast faith, his kind and loving heart, his devotion to his family, and for being a wonderful friend to many. Terry went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family at 9:52 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
