Charles “Chuck” Lovell Hunter, age 78, of Greensburg, passed away Monday October 23 , surrounded by family at Hickory Creek. Chuck was born on June 22, 1939 the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Bard) Hunter in Batesville.
Charles married Carol (Rork) on November 30, 1968 and they spent the next 42 years together until her death in 2012. The two of them can be remembered running a paper route for several years in the Osgood, Napoleon, and Holton communities. He was a laborer for most of his work career spending several years working at Culpepper in Shelbyville. He also enjoyed working the rides at various fairs.
Chuck was a past member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Napoleon. He enjoyed spending his pass time doing woodworking and fishing.
He was preceded in death by wife Carol, his parents, brothers Bobby and Richard, and sisters Liddy Bushorn and Maggie Haggert. Chuck is survived by brothers Elmer (Evelyn) Hunter of Milan, sisters Jeannie Colyer of Osgood, Pam Eaden of Osgood, Janice Roberts of Scipio, and Carolina Hunter of Hamilton, Ohio, along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday October 26, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm. At Neal’s Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8:00 pm. also at Neal’s Funeral Home.
