Bulldogs Navigating a Challenging Season

It has certainly been an eventful and interesting season for the Bulldogs, who currently hold a 5-7 record. While no one is satisfied with that mark, the team is embracing the process of “growing forward.”

The Bulldogs have faced a tough schedule, and the weather hasn’t done them any favors. The Ripley County Tournament was disrupted by poor conditions, leaving the team unable to practice for three days before their opening game against Jac-Cen-Del. Despite the challenge, the Bulldogs battled to a 44-44 tie late in the game before finishing on an impressive 18-0 run to advance.

In the next round, the Bulldogs faced an undefeated South Ripley squad. After falling behind 24-5 in the first quarter, the team showed grit and determination, cutting the deficit to just 6 points in the second quarter and 4 points in the second half before ultimately falling short.

Looking Ahead
Despite their record, there’s a lot to like about Team #105. With just one senior and two sophomores playing significant minutes, the Bulldogs are confident they’ll be a much-improved team when March rolls around.

Upcoming Event
Tomorrow night’s game against Franklin County will feature the introduction of Garrett’s Gang campers before tipoff. For anyone local who hasn’t experienced this special tradition, it’s an absolute must-see and a favorite moment of the year for many in the community.

The Bulldogs are staying focused and optimistic as they continue their journey this season.
