Betty Lobenstein, 80 years old of St. Leon, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022. A devoted wife and
mother of four, Betty enjoyed many family vacations to the beach and the Smoky Mountains. She
helped on the family farm and was known for impulsive shopping trips. Betty became the mom of
community dogs and created a special bond with them. She always made sure to have plenty of hot
dogs on hand so she could feed them every day. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren
and great grandchildren as they brought her much joy and held a special place in her heart.
Betty will be missed by her children Gary (Vickie) Lobenstein, Tammy Myers, Greg (Bonnie) Lobenstein,
and Nick Lobenstein, all of St. Leon; grandchildren Justin & Josh Lobenstein, Brandon & Brad Myers, Miranda, Brianna & Kailyn Lobenstein, Dalton &Carson Lobenstein; and great
grandchildren Kaiden & Kenna Lobenstein. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy,
parents Mildred & Alvin Fryman, and siblings Ruby Green and Shirley Doan.
A private celebration of life will be held for Betty. Memorials in her honor can be made to
