Bernard A. Moster, of Brookville, was born on February 11, 1926 in Cedar Grove, a son to John and Emma Obermeyer Moster. He served his country with the United States Navy during WWII and later married Mary Ann Volk on November 25, 1950 at Holy Guardian Angel Church. Bernard was a farmer and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with family. On Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the age of 94, he passed away at his residence.
Those surviving who will cherish Bernard’s memory include his wife, Mary Ann Moster; children, Paul (Denise) Moster of Liberty, Joyce (Darryl) Smith of Fort Wayne, Greg (Julie) Moster of Dayton, and Eugene (Sara) Moster of Brookville; 22 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Tony (Patricia) Moster of Morris and Leo (Joann) Moster of St. Peters; one sister, Bea Maloney of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Kathy Moster of Harrison, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie Moster; 3 sisters, Ann Workman, Emma Maloney, and Catherine Frey, and three brothers, Albert, Walter, and Fr. Humbert Moster.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Father Vincent Lampert will officiate a Mass of Christian burial at St. Michael at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
