SOUTHEASTERN IN — Southeastern Indiana had some rough weather Wednesday.

There were reports of damage scattered around the area caused by wind and heavy rain, including a downed tree along State Road 129 and golf ball-sized hail in Ripley County.

A tornado watch was canceled an hour before it was set to expire, and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued after strong storms rolled through the area.

One of the severe thunderstorm warnings was issued for a cell contained in a huge wall cloud west of Versailles (pictured).

Meantime, a National Weather Service survey team was heading to Rush County to determine if a tornado touched down there Wednesday evening or if the damage was caused by straight-line winds.

There were no injuries reported, but the roof of the Posey Township Fire Department was damaged, along with several other structures in Rush County.
