(Bloomington, IN) – The American Red Cross Serving Southeast Indiana is proud to announce that Alex Dudley has joined its board of directors.
Dudley is currently the deputy general counsel for the Indiana Gaming Commission.
Prior to joining the Commission, Dudley clerked for the Honorable Cale J. Bradford of the Indiana Court of Appeals and was a managing associate in the civil litigation department at Dentons Bingham Greenebaum.
Dudley, who is from Franklin County, said he was drawn to the opportunity because of the positive impact the Red Cross has been able to make across the country.
“I am always happy to join organizations that allow me to serve my community and use my time, talent, and treasure to ensure it remains the wonderful community that it is,” Dudley said.
As a new member of the board, Dudley said he looks forward to getting involved with the Red Cross’s disaster relief service.
With this, he hopes to work with local fire departments and first responders as a point of contact to the Red Cross to aid families in need of disaster relief and help provide fire detection equipment for distribution and installation throughout the community.
Dudley was the 2011 Franklin County Lilly Endowment Scholarship Recipient.
He received his undergraduate degree from Butler University, majoring in elementary education and minoring in special education. Dudley received his law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
He also serves as a member of Batesville Main Street, McKinney-Shepard Inn of Court, and coaches youth football.
He previously served for six years on the board of directors of the Batesville Community Education Foundation with one term as president.
Dudley is a graduate of the Indiana Leadership Forum class of 2022.
Dudley resides in Batesville with his wife Ella. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
