(Osgood, IN) – Callie Comer was crowned Miss Ripley 2026 at Sunday night’s pageant held at the Damm Theater in Osgood.

Madison Hornsby was named 1st runner up; 2nd runner up went to Paxten Feller; Rylee Mitchell was chosen 3rd runner up, and 4th runner up went to Ashtyn Peelman. Mya Rynn was named Miss Congeniality.

This was Comer’s second time as a contestant, and she says things were different this time around.

“I had way more confidence than I had last year,” said Comer. “This time, it was definitely a lot more fun just because I wasn’t as nervous as  I was last year.”

Comer also won voting for the People’s Choice Award, which the audience voted for with monetary contributions in the theater lobby. The total amount raised in People’s Choice Award voting was $1,354, with proceeds going to Safe Passage, as chosen by the contestants.

Comer also won the Professional Wear Award, while Feller was presented the Formal Wear Award.

Sophie Riehle was named the recipient of the Kindness Award and Kompassion Scholarship, which are given by the pageant for the kindness and compassion she displayed throughout the queen pageant activities.

The award and scholarship were created in 2019 in memory of the late Kristy Sams, who served on the queen pageant committee.

In addition to reigning over the upcoming 4-H Fair, Comer will represent Ripley County at the Miss Indiana State Fair Pageant, and take part in a variety of events around the county in the coming year.

“Overall, I am definitely excited to meet so many new people and be able to serve my community,” she said.

This year’s Ripley County 4-H Fair begins Sunday, July 19 and runs through Saturday, July 25 at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood.

A total of seven contestants took part in this year’s Miss Ripley County Pageant.

WRBI’s Brent Lee served as the pageant’s Master of Ceremonies.
