(Brookville, IN) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says recovery support services are expanding inside the Franklin County Security Center through a partnership with 1 Voice Recovery Community.
As part of a continued effort to provide meaningful recovery resources to county jail inmates, 1 Voice Recovery Community will offer both group and individual peer support services to men and women housed in the facility, according to the sheriff’s office.
Services will include twice-weekly evidence-based recovery group sessions, as well as individualized reentry planning designed to connect participants with resources and support upon their release.
The sheriff’s office says addressing substance use disorders and related challenges is an important component of improving public safety, reducing recidivism, and helping individuals successfully reintegrate into the community.
By providing access to peer support and recovery-focused programming while individuals are incarcerated, they hope to create additional opportunities for long-term success after release.
