Butler is bringing back former player Ronald Nored to coach the Bulldogs. He succeeds Thad Matta, who announced his retirement last week. The 36-year-old Nored has spent the past three seasons as an assistant with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. Nored started at point guard for Butler when the Bulldogs made consecutive NCAA championship game appearances in 2010 and 2011.
The Cincinnati Bengals made it official and re-signed unrestricted free agent quarterback Joe Flacco to a one-year contract for the 2026 season. The 41-year-old Flacco played in nine games with six starts for the Bengals last season after he was acquired in a trade with Cleveland in October. The 19-year veteran’s totals with Cincinnati included 158 completions on 256 passing attempts for 1,664 yards and 13 touchdowns with four interceptions. Flacco was selected for his first career Pro Bowl following the season.
