Betty Dall (née Grace), 91 years old, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 after a brief stay in the hospital. Betty will be deeply missed by her children Roger Dall, Bonita (Dave Thomas) McCoy, and daughter-in-law Connie Dall; grandchildren Christopher (Rose) Dall, Brandon (Faith) Dall, Nathan (Angie) Dall, Natalie (Burk Kuykendall) Dall, Alexandra (Kevin) Schwartz, and Jack (Sukaina) McCoy; great grandchildren Eva, Nora, Margaux, Talbot, and Lucian; siblings Dale (Darlene) Grace, Jerry (Barbara) Grace, Sharon (Bob) Peelman, Larry Grace, and Steve Grace; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Edward, her husband of 39 years; sons Danny Dall and Timothy Dall; siblings Donald (Betty) Grace, Janice (Leo) Schnebelt, sister-in-law Jean Grace; and parents Louis & Hazel Grace.
Betty met her Eddie, while she was working at Jos. Seagrams. They raised their four children in New Alsace, IN. They were both active members of St. Paul’s Church of All Saints Parish where Betty made quilts and pies for the summer picnics. Some of her most requested pies were pecan and lemon meringue and her kids agree that her fried chicken could be put up against the best of them. She and Eddie loved to roller skate and bowl in their younger days.
Betty was a teacher’s aide at St. Paul’s School before also working at Sunman Elementary. She also was an active volunteer who participated in her children’s lives, in whatever way she was needed. She was always excited to run into former students and catch up on their lives and their families as they got older. After working in the school system, Betty worked at and retired from Fernald as an administrative assistant.
One of Betty’s favorite past times was playing cards with Eddie, family and friends. She loved all kinds of card games including pinochle, shanghai rummy, and 500. She loved all sorts of games and puzzles, especially the Balderdash games that were played every Thanksgiving and Christmas with her kids and grandkids. Family would tease that she would rush through dinner just to get the table cleared off so they could start playing games. Another favorite adventure for Betty was the casino and, for as long as she was able, she was feeding quarters into the keno machine. She and Eddie traveled extensively, exploring Europe and most of the U.S., but their favorite place ended up being Las Vegas where they would go several times a year.
Betty’s love for her family and Eddie’s family was the strongest. She enjoyed making a huge spread of food for everyone when they came over, always showcasing the vegetables that Eddie grew in the garden. She crocheted afghans and sewed pillowcases for friends and neighbors and baby quilts for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After Eddie passed, Betty moved to Dover and lived the last 30 years of her life there. She was grateful to have so many friends in all the small towns that surrounded her. After an extended stay in The Waters in Dillsboro, the last week of life was spent at St. Elizabeth Dearborn. The family would like to express their gratitude for the amazing medical staff and support staff in both places. A very special “thank you” goes out to Rachel and Josie for their overwhelming care and concern for Betty and her family at St. Elizabeth.

Visitation will begin at 9:30am and will continue until the funeral prayer service begins at 11:30am.
