CINCINNATI — The Bengals finished their home schedule Sunday with a 37–14 victory over the Arizona Cardinals at Paycor Stadium. Joe Burrow threw for three hundred five yards and two touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase caught two scoring passes, and Chase Brown added two rushing touchdowns as Cincinnati improved to six–ten heading into the final week of the regular season.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts were officially eliminated from playoff contention following Sunday’s 23–17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Although the postseason fate was sealed earlier in the weekend, the defeat renewed questions about quarterback Philip Rivers’ future. Rivers said after the game he would support whatever decisions the organization makes as the Colts prepare to close the regular season Sunday at Houston.

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana University football prepares for the Rose Bowl game against Alabama on New Year’s Day. The winner advances to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Indiana enters the matchup as a seven-point favorite.

College Basketball Roundup:
Purdue, ranked in the top five nationally, hosts Kent State tonight at Mackey Arena. Ball State is also home tonight against Earlham, while Indiana State plays on the road against Belmont. The Indiana Hoosiers resume Big Ten play Sunday when they host Washington in Bloomington.

The Cincinnati Bearcats conclude their non-conference schedule this week before beginning Big 12 play. Kentucky opens SEC action Saturday afternoon at Alabama. Ohio State returns to conference play later this week as the Big Ten schedule resumes.

HOUSTON — The Indiana Pacers look to end an eight-game losing streak tonight when they visit the Houston Rockets. The Pacers hold a six–twenty–six record, the worst in the NBA. The game broadcast begins at 7:30 tonight on 1093.9 FM and the WRBI App.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana’s Mr. Football, Myles McLaughlin of Knox High School, was honored during halftime at the Colts game Sunday. Knox High shared a video of his season highlights at Lucas Oil Stadium, and McLaughlin appeared on the jumbotron.  He finished his high school career as Indiana’s all-time leader in rushing and scoring and set a national record for single-season rushing yards while leading Knox to a regional championship. McLaughlin plans to play college football next year at Murray State.
