Ralph L. Kuntz, 88, Napoleon

Ralph L. Kuntz, age 88, of Napoleon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2025.
Born on January 17, 1937, in Batesville, Indiana, Ralph was the son of William and Veronica (Meyer) Kuntz. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Sue Ann Kohlman, on June 27, 1959, and together they built a life rooted in family, faith, and community.
That same year, Ralph started working at the Napoleon Locker, which he eventually purchased before passing it down to his children and grandchildren. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, Ralph took great pride in the business and the legacy it continues to represent.
A member of both the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus, Ralph was also a lifelong farmer who enjoyed raising cattle as a hobby. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and found great joy in traveling—especially his winter trips to Florida with Sue. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Sue; his children, Kurt (Shannon) Kuntz, Kay (Kevin) Wessel, and Kimberely (Matt) Brancamp; grandchildren, Christy Brehm, Shari Brancamp, Nicole Cain, Brad Wessel, Jena Gerritsen, Doug Wessel, Eric Wessel, and Haley Westerman; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Luella Bogenschutz.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Karla Kuntz and Karen Cain; one grandchild, Heather Cain; his brother, Emil Kuntz; and sister, Alice Meer.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass for Ralph held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 1:30 PM at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon, Indiana and a Celebration of Life in the church hall from 2:30 to 6:30 PM. You are welcome to attend all or as much as you are able. Food and drinks will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.
Ralph’s legacy of hard work, love for family, and quiet strength will live on in all who knew and loved him.
