Myron “Bud” William Scholl, 87 years old, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Bud was born on January 31, 1938, in Batesville, IN to Herman and Aleen Scholl.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Charleen “Tootie” Scholl; his sons: Mark Scholl (Susan) and Glenn Scholl (Melissa); his grandchildren: Nick Scholl, Zach Scholl (Kyrstin), Karly Scholl (fiancé Blake Gindling), and Kelsey Scholl; his great-grandchildren: Cameron Scholl and Ava Scholl; his step great-grandson, Karson Ashcraft; his sister, Carolyn Dunn, and brother, Gene Scholl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Aleen Scholl and his sisters: Marilyn Tangman and Donna Bottorff.
Bud proudly worked as a truck driver for his career and also served in the Army Reserves. Once retiring, he worked part-time for East Central High School as a part of their ground maintenance staff. Bud was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who built a life grounded in hard work, faith, and family. Bud loved attending swap meets and car part auctions with his son, Glenn; living just a stone’s throw away from his son, Mark; tinkering in the barn; supporting his grandchildren in their busy lives; and eating breakfast at McDonald’s with his wife, Tootie, and their morning crew. He also especially enjoyed loving on his sons’ dogs, who always brought a smile to his face and brightened his day. He was known for his big heart and even bigger sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a warm laugh. Bud compared himself to an M&M – tough on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. His family meant the world to him, and he took great pride in each generation that followed him.
