The Oklahoma City Thunder are one game away from an NBA title after defeating the Indiana Pacers 120-109 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals as heard night on WRBI. The Pacers cut an 18-point first half deficit to two points in the 4th quarter, but the rally fell short. Jalen Williams exploded for a playoff career-high 40 points to lead the Thunder. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31. The Pacers were led by Paskal Siakim’s 28 points. Early in the game, Tyrese Haliburton suffered an apparent calf injury during a fall on the court. Haliburton played in the second half but scored just four points on the night. OKC leads the best of seven series three games to two. The Pacers will try to avoid elimination when the series shifts to Indianapolis for Game Six Thursday night. Coverage begins at 8 p.m. on the Sports Voice.

The Reds open a three-game series tonight at home against the Minnesota Twins. Andrew Abbott takes his 6-1 record and 1.87 ERA to the mound at game’s beginning for Cincinnati. The Twins counter with righthander David Festa. Airtime on 103.9 FM is 6:40.

Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz and catcher Jose Trevino are among the leading National League vote getters in All-Star Game balloting.
