Karen Black, 84, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
She was born on March 18, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank V. Weber and Betty (Holtman) Weber.
Karen worked as a laborer at Seagram’s Distillery, where she dedicated over 13 years of service before retiring. A proud and active member of the Red Hat Society and the Harrison VFW Auxiliary, she found joy in connecting with others and giving back to her community.
Avid reader and puzzle enthusiast, Karen cherished the simple joys of life-books, word games, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family. Known for her warm heart and wonderful sense of humor, she brought laughter and love into every room she entered.
She is survived by her four children: Kevin Berry of Aurora, IN; Chris (Kelly) Berry of Aurora, IN; Laren (Walter) Smith of Aurora, IN; and Karla (Debbie) Berry of Aurora, IN. She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Bari Meyer of Okeana, OH, and Rick (Phyllis) Weber of Florence, KY.
Karen was a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren: Jessica Lucas, Cody (Jessa) Berry, Melissa (Ross) Tanner, Justin (Sara) Smith, Lacey (Luke) Smith, Michael Smith, Austin Smith, Joshua Hensley, Dowayne Tomlin, Chrisler (Andrea) Clark, Jordan Carey, Dylan (Tara) Berry, and Halle Berry. She was also blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and her good friends Carol and Darrell Berry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Betty Weber and her brother Frank Weber.
Friends will be received at Rullman and Hunger Funeral Home 219 Mechanic Street Aurora, Indiana on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held St. Mary’s Catholic Church 203 4th Street Aurora, Indiana on Thursday at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will follow at River View Cemetery in Aurora, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cove Alliance Uganda or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
