(Greensburg, IN) – The Community Healthcare Clinic of Decatur County recently received a $20,000 grant from the Decatur County Community Foundation for new dental equipment.

“We are very excited to receive this funding,” said Clinic Director Emily Verseman, FNP. “Our current dental equipment is aged and often malfunctions.”

The equipment will help to modernize the clinic and bring it closer to what other dental offices currently offer.

The facility, located in the Rural King Plaza, also offers family medical care.

“We are so happy to provide this funding,” said Tami Wenning, Executive Director of the Decatur County Community Foundation. “When our board learned about the current outdated equipment, they were immediately interested in helping with this project.”

The purchase of new equipment ensures that volunteer dentists are able to provide the best services possible to the uninsured and underinsured in Decatur County. Currently the Community Healthcare Clinic serves both the medical and dental needs of more than 100 families in the county.

DCCF grants are made possible through the generosity of donors. Gifts to the Foundation are invested, and the return off of those investments are given back to the community in the form of grants.
