Lowell Gene Green

Lowell Gene Green, 84 of East Enterprise, Indiana passed away September 1, 2024 at Swiss Villa Living Center. He was just short of his 85th birthday, born September 11, 1939 in Ohio County, Indiana.
Lowell was united in marriage to Luanne Walton Judy and over their 63 years of loving marriage they had three children: Peggy Storm, Greg & wife Jenny, and Brian & companion Jackie Pavy; five grand-children: David Hart & husband Travis, Sarah Storm, Thomas Storm & fiancé Anna, Ashley & husband Eric Castle, and Justin Green; and three great-grandchildren: Reese Cook, Milo and Oliver Castle. He will be remembered as a good dad and a great grandpa to us all; and a friend to many.
He was a graduate of Vevay High School class of 1957 and afterwards served in the United States Air Force, stationed in England and Germany.
After serving he entered the workforce spanning a long career at Plastic Moldings Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio. He spent 60 years inventing, engineering, and overseeing the growth of several plants. More than above his years at PMC was his devotion to a lifetime in farming with his family. He applied his knowledge of engineering to farming; always determined to be successful, even when Mother Nature said otherwise. In 2021 he was recognized as a Silver Star Farmer for his accomplishments and legacy in farming and conservation, for which he was very proud.
Lowell is survived by Luanne, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Errol and Jill Judy; brother-in-law David Judy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Kittle Green; parents-in-law, Ira and Donna Judy; sister-in-law, Jeanne Marie Konkle; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane “Janie” Judy.
Visitation for the public will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2024, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Private graveside services with full military rites will be conducted for the family following visitation.
