Freddie Frank “Fritz” Lohmiller

 

 

 

 

 

 

Freddie Frank Lohmiller, fondly known as Fritz, entered this world June 8, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio and departed July 31, 2018 at 5:40 in the evening at St. Elizabeth Hospice Edgewood after a battle with Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS).
He was born to the late Fred F. and Evelyn (Thacker) Lohmiller.
Fred left the world the same way he lived it, on his own terms. He was married to his loving wife Gloria (Funk) for 56 years. Fred enjoyed fishing, shopping, especially with his oldest daughter Glenda, and spending time with his grandkids and family. Fred loved going to the movies and often went with his grandson Josh. Fred had a massive sport card collection that he generously shared with his grandsons. Fred was particularly proud of his time serving our country in the United States Army. He worked at Globe Tailoring for 46 years alongside his father Fred. In addition to his wife Gloria, Fred is survived by his seven children Fred and Cheryl Lohmiller, Tom and Patti Lohmiller, Dave and Stacy Lohmiller, Glenda Lohmiller Rader, Steve Lohmiller, Gary and Jennifer Lohmiller, and Brenda and Jay Ingram. ey, Miranda, Davey, Brianna, Dylan, Amanda (Brian), Joshua (Charity), Kaitlyn (Dan), Daniel, Patsy, Stephanie, Stevie, Taylor, Alex, Loree (Nathaniel), Aiden, Logan, Naomi, James, Ryan (Amber), Justin, and 35 great grand children. Brother Ted (late Kathy) Lohmiller, sisters Nancy (late Joe) Fembers, and Dorothy and Bob Olding. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson Jaymie Lohmiller, great grandson Maximus Clare, brother-in-law Joe Fembers, and sister in law Kathy Lohmiller.

Friends will be received Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic St. Aurora, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:00am, at St. Marys Catholic Church, 203 Fourth St., Aurora, IN.

Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Bernard, Ohio. Military graveside services will be conducted at the cemetery.
