79 new cases reported locally on Thursday

Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 2,890 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Thursday. A total of 619,995 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 2,930,353 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at a 21.1% positive rate and 34 new deaths were reported for a total of 9,504 Hoosiers have died across the state.

Dearborn County has a total of 4,948 cases and 46 deaths reported (up 42 new cases and 1 new death), Decatur County has a total of 2,519 positive cases and 83 deaths (up 18 new cases), Franklin County has 1,518 positive cases and 33 deaths (up 2 new cases), and Ripley County has 3,047 positive cases and 47 deaths (up 17 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 79 new positive cases and 1 new death.
