BATESVILLE – A music festival celebrating local brew and hometown foods gets underway this weekend at Walhill Farm.

Bacon Blues & Brew Music and Arts Festival is set to begin Friday evening and conclude Sunday afternoon.

Friday features music performances by Bloomington band The Main Squeeze and Brown County natives The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band.

Notable musicians taking the stage Saturday include Leftover Cuties, Honey Honey and Anders Osborne.

Honey Honey was formed in Los Angeles and their first album was released under the now-defunct Ironworks record label, co-run by actor Keifer Sutherland. Sutherland starred in the group’s music video for their song “Little Toy Gun.”

Osbrone wrote a song called “Watch The Wind Blow By” which was turned into a #1 hit by country superstar Tim McGraw.

There are many more musical acts including Those Lazy Cabineers of Decatur County.

The festival also displays artwork from some of America’s most talented artists and craftsmen.

Food stations will be offering hometown favorites and beer sponsors will be present to offer their signature brews.

Tickets are $20 for Friday, $30 for Saturday and a two-day pass is available for $45. Tickets are sold online and at Walhill Farm.
