The Batesville Boy’s Varsity tennis team defeated Rushville 5-0 on Tuesday to clinch the EIAC Championship for the third straight year. Batesville has now won 23 staight EIAC matches.
In singles, Beau Brown, Ben Schwettman, and Spencer Rose won their matches. The doubles teams of Harsh Patel/Will Harmeyer and Jonathan Kunkel/Sam Giesting were winners.
In JV Batesville won 4-0. Winners were George Ritter, Lane Westerfeld, Mitch Esser, and Cooper Williams. JV is now 10-0 on the season while the Varsity is 9-5.
The varsity will play in the Whiteland Invite on Saturday at 9:00 AM.
