ST. LEON, Ind. – Organizers are seeking volunteers for a trash cleanup along State Road 1.
The Whitewater River Watershed Project will conduct the roadside trash removal along the road from Interstate 74 to U.S. Highway 52 on Saturday, October 11.
Residents interested in volunteering can meet register by calling (812) 926-2406 ext. 107.
The cleanup will begin by meeting at the St. Leon Park, 29260 Saint Joe Drive, off of Church Lane in St. Leon at 1 p.m.
Trash bags and gloves will be provided and volunteers will receive complimentary gifts for their help.
The mission of the Whitewater River Watershed Project is to improve water quality, reduce flooding and improve habitat for plants and animals.
