Melva Cole

Melva Cole, formerly of Sunman, was born on December 11, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Parry Lee Whitis Maynard.   She married Edward Cole and worked on their farm.  Melva loved to sew and could make anything from coats to quilts.  On Friday, July 1, 2016, at the age of 89, Melva passed away at Garden Manor in Middletown, Ohio. 

 

Those surviving who will cherish Melva’s memory include her sisters, Dorothy Keller, Betty Catlett, and Patricia Matheis, and brother, James Whitis.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Carol O’Toole, and sons, James Cole and Charles Cole. 

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday July 8, 2016 from 11 a.m. till time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  Burial will follow in Greendale Cemetery in Lawrenceburg.
