Madison named one of America’s Best Communities

MADISON, Ind. — The City of Madison was one of around 350 different communities that recently participated in a community revitalization competition called America’s Best Communities.

The competition started back in September of 2014.

The city made it all the way to the finals where they were selected as one of eight remaining communities.

Being selected as a finalist, Madison earned $150,000 in prize grants.

While the city was a finalist, it was not named in the top three.

The competition was created to inspire revitalization and growth in small towns and rural communities across the country.
