EC JV and varsity volleyball faced off with Shelbyville on Saturday. Both teams were victorious in straight sets. Varsity won 25-20, 25-20, and 26-24.
It was a great game to be a part of. The girls played the best team volleyball they’ve played all year. They never quit, never lost focus, and never doubted themselves. They stayed up and found a way to win.
Games one and two were pretty similar…just good volleyball by both teams. In game three, we found ourselves in a big hole 11-17. A month ago, these girls would have folded and hoped for a better outcome in game 4, but not this time. They proved why the expectations were set so high from day one. They battled back to get the win 26-24. It was an amazing experience to see them all play as one.
We set the standard, and this is what we have to continue to do as we close out the season.
Varsity is now 16-11 on the season.
