Her first goal was a pure effort play. She was rewarded with a goal after getting around the back 4 for Rushville.” After the 2nd goal, the goals poured in for the Lady Bulldogs. They were able to score 3 goals within 1:18. The first of the three goals was scored by Freshman Caitlynn Werner with an assist from Sophomore Sylvia Phillips. Our defense did a great job shutting down every counter attack that Rushville would attempt and did not give up a shot.

The second half was scoreless. Batesville was trying some different combination play and focused on their possession game. They had several nice looks, but the Rushville GK was able to make several nice saves to keep the score at 7-0.

“We still have plenty of work to do, but it was nice to see the goals pouring in these first two games. It will help with our team confidence and individual finishing ability.
